2025 Week of the Young Child (April 5-11)
What Is the Week of the Young Child?
The Week of the Young Child® is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world's largest early childhood education association. The purpose of the Week of the Young Child® is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.

Every year, Partners for Children & Families come together to celebrate and honor the dedicated childcare providers of Moore County at our Childcare Recognition Dinner. This year’s theme, "Nurturing the Nurturer: How You Nurture Dreams, Creativity, and Guide Growth," highlights the profound impact providers have on shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning.

This special evening is an opportunity to express our gratitude for their hard work, commitment, and the invaluable role they play in our community. Attendees will enjoy a meaningful program featuring guest speaker Rusty Keeler, who will share insights on healing the anxious generation through play and exploration.

In addition to recognition awards and certificates, providers will receive a classroom-friendly gift to support their work with children. As a shared activity, everyone will contribute to a collective craft symbolizing growth and creativity—just as they do every day in their classrooms.

We look forward to celebrating the incredible childcare professionals who nurture dreams, spark creativity, and guide the next generation toward a bright future!
